The Planetarium hosts laser shows on the first Friday of each month and on special occasions e.g. National Astronomy Day and December Laser Fest. Our first Friday laser shows are part of Fabulous First Fridays and include a number of special events. Each Fabulous First Friday begins with a 7:30 p.m. free star show in the Planetarium followed by free telescopic observing in the Weintraub Observatory from 8 until 10 p.m. Additionally we have a new series of free lectures called FYI at 8 p.m.

The Space Transit Planetarium at the Miami Science Museum has been producing laser shows since 1975 and we employ some of the latest laser technology displayed on our 4 story high and 7 story wide dome.
